HistoryACC Telecom was established in 1987, after branching out from the Harbor City Corporation (HCC), a business machine and supply company founded in 1979 by Barry Hunt, with excellence in sales and service for 10 years.
Becoming increasingly aware of the growing business communications, telecom, voice and data cabling, and business phone system needs in the 1980’s, Mr. Hunt established ACC Telecom, headquartered in Frederick, Maryland (MD) to serve the Maryland, Virginia (VA) and Washington DC areas. ACC Telecom quickly began to grow, becoming the area's leader in business phone system installations, service and voice and data cable infrastructures. In 1991 ACC Telecom relocated its headquarters to Ellicott City, Maryland.
ACC Telecom’s fast-growing client base created the need for a more centralized location. In order to better serve the Baltimore, Maryland, Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C. corridor, Mr. Hunt selected Columbia, Maryland. The Columbia headquarters allows us to efficiently handle all the needs that may arrise from a business that needs nothing but the very best from their bussiness communications phone system, cable infrastructure or data network in Maryland, Virginia and Washington DC.
